Having met many accountants face-to-face in the past, this is the only accountant that insists on phone meetings. No wonder. Lamb is rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. A face-to-face meeting would probably exacerbate her lack of professionalism. We had politely asked about a couple numbers on a tax return she prepared. And after brushing us off for 2 weeks, she mistakenly thought we questioned her intelligence and years of experience. Having never questioned her competency, we just politely asked how something was calculated but somehow she easily took offense and didn’t want to do our future returns. Her ego is apparently too big to handle questions on how she made her calculations. For the record, she did in fact make a couple mistakes in our return. Also she told us, her own clients, that she doesn’t have time to go through our emails. This is particularly aggravating because outside of the scheduled phone appointment, the only way to communicate is through emails. However, she had no problem inappropriately expressing her political views on healthcare or comparing her own financial situation to our own. She only writes in ALL CAPS, which highlights her lack of etiquette. SHE EITHER DOESN’T KNOW OR DOESN’T CARE THAT ALL CAPS IS ANNOYING AND LIKE YELLING FOR NO GOOD REASON. And she writes all this from her AOL account. Hey, the 1990s called and they want their AOL installation CDs back. Despite spending years servicing tax returns, she apparently hasn’t learned that a tax professional should be responsive and place the client first, Well, if she can’t handle questions about her clients’ tax returns and thinks she is infallible, then she obviously wasted many years in the wrong profession.
