Christopher Famiglietti prepared and filed my tax returns for tax years 2021 through 2024, and in August 2025 I received formal notices from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance indicating that all four years were selected for a comprehensive audit focused on business expense deductions and related issues. Despite repeated and sustained efforts over several months to obtain documentation, workpapers, source records, calculations, clarification, and audit support from Mr. Famiglietti, he failed to provide meaningful assistance, respond in a timely manner, or act as my authorized representative, effectively abandoning me during the audit of returns he prepared. When he did respond, he cited a personal construction project as the reason he could not support the audit and promised, but never provided, a letter for the taxing authority; his final communications were verbally aggressive, dismissive, and unprofessional. As a result of his negligence and failure to meet professional obligations, I was forced to manage the audit on my own, missed critical state deadlines, and ultimately paid over $15,000 to resolve the matter with New York State—financial harm I believe was avoidable had proper professional support been provided. ALSO, BEWARE: HE IS NOT A LICENSED CPA--only a registered tax preparer!!
