Stay away from this organization and if you are dealing with Leonel Padilla, having him advise or prepare your taxes I encourage you to have a CPA review and them explain what your risk is. I say that you are in risk because Leonel will mislead you with statements like "goodwill deductions" and "amortization of the potential company value over 10 years". Laptax Consulting firstly isn't a certified CPA, interprets tax law on assumption and non-relevant information, deliberately misleads you and ask you to open a "S Corp" because it does help reduce you audit risk but more so for him to hide the un ethical and un moral practices and "fudging" that he does. I speak from experience. I was recently audited and the outcome was a rude awakening to tax law and facts. The outcome was costly for me, I had to pay back tax PLUS additional penalty and interest fees. During the audit the IRS auditor stopped asking Leonel questions because his responses were so ignorant and flat our wrong. I think he either felt bad for me or just was beside himself that this guy is practicing. Laptax Consulting does not know tax law.... I used him based on recommendation of someone I knew, the one year I used him was the first and last. I highly encourage you to stay away and if you are using him go get help from a CPA. He probably put you in significant risk.
