Mary did taxes for my husband and I in 2017, for the tax year of 2016. Last week we received a letter from the IRS saying we own $1,739. Confused and in a panic. I called the IRS. Basically I was told Mary had submitted taxes for my husband and I, but had only used my husbands income. I did get married in 2016 and had my name changed on everything except my SS#, I'm not sure if this is what made it so difficult for her, or something else. Mary did not even have the courtesy to call or email me stating that there was a problem. I have never done business with someone who cares so little about her clients. Mary Calhoun is lazy, unprofessional and has cost my family more money than she is worth. I wish I had done my research on this so called "tax professional." She has been featured on CBS DFW channel 11 news, she has also changed he business from Azle to Fort Worth, TX in order to hide. Please beware of this fraud. Take your business to a real tax professional.
