Winnie did not include our taxable dividends (1099-DIV) with our 2021 1040 tax return, thus we were sent a tax bill recently. She did admit on the phone that she missed filing the forms, and assisted us with responding to the IRS, however she refused to admit her mistake in writing for us. We are requesting abatement from the IRS for the penalty fee and interest accrued on the late taxes, and this documentation would have been helpful in supporting our appeal. While reviewing the correspondence, we had to request for my husband's name to be corrected from tax forms at least twice. For some reason she had trouble spelling his name correctly in email correspondence.
