My husband and I saw Keith for years for our taxes. Aside from being a bit gabby, and always running hours behind, everything seemed fine with our taxes. In 2016, he filed my 2015 return… Or so I thought. I had been told that there was an extension, and an issue, and another issue… But we had always paid extra for the insurance, so I never worried about any of the details. This year, when I went to file my 2016 taxes, the IRS let me know that they could not accept my return, because my 2015 taxes had not yet been filed. I was stunned. My ex-husband went to his tax meeting with Keith on March 29, 2017, and at that appointment, Keith told my ex that he would be filing my taxes that night. The next day, I filed my 2016 taxes, under the impression that everything was OK. Today, I received a letter from the IRS stating that they could not issue me my 2016 refund because my 2015 taxes had never been filed. I have called and emailed Keith's office more times than I can count, and have never heard back from anyone regarding my return. He won't submit my return to the IRS and he won't send it back to me so I can do it myself. At this point, I feel like he is holding my future hostage, and I am pissed off. Stay far away from this guy. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Keith West has done my taxes for a long time. 13 plus years for my husband and I when we were married and the last 4 for both of us since our divorce. We/I never have had a problem until this year. I saw him at his bay area location on January 31st for my 2015 taxes. They were COMPLETED that day. He said he needed to hold onto them until my ex husband had his appointment in EARLY Feb for a simple matter concerning our kids. My ex also left without his taxes and was told we would BOTH be receiving them in the mail.. SOON. They never came. My ex was finally able to get a hold of him mid March and Keith told him he would FedEx our taxes " in the next few days " after my ex told him he was planning on driving to LA to get them. They were never sent. In April, just a week before the tax deadline, we got someone to finally answer his office phone and Anna informed us that Keith had filed extensions on EVERYONE who did not receive their taxes from him yet. We paid Keith promptly for his services after both our appointments and now today is June 10th and we still don't know where our taxes are. After reading reviews from several of his past clients on Yelp, I am not confident he even filed those extensions. He has yet to respond to any of my emails or calls since January 31st. I guess we will both know when we get letters from the IRS. I am very saddened by his lack of professionalism, lack of communication, and lack of basic empathy for what I thought was a very good, long term professional relationship. This sickens me to have to write these reviews now.
