Do not use Mr. Pielick for your taxes! He is not a honorable or trust worthy person. I got behind in my taxes and went to him in 2013 to prepare my 2011 and 2012 taxes. Everything seemed to go great, I owed like I knew I would because of my own mistakes. He gave me a deal and charged me only for one instead of double. He sent me paperwork to sign. I returned the paperwork and paid him his fee. Fast forward a year and my new wife and I go to see him for 2013 taxes. As we get started I explain to him that this year I only get to claim one of my children. He prepared our returns with 2 of my children. Finally got them finished and owed again. I called the IRS to take care of what I owed. They asked me if I planned on filing my 2012 taxes. I was in shock as I used Richard Pielick for 11, 12 and 13. I called Mr Pielick to ask what was going on. I had to leave a message as He rarely ever answers his phone. He returned the call the next afternoon and left a message explaining that he had set them aside and because he had gotten so busy he had forgot to file them and he was apologetic. he sent me them to send in via snail mail. I sent them in with the money I owed. I got a letter from the IRS saying that I owed 164 dollar penalty for the failure to file on time. I sent Mr. Pielick an emial letting him know what was going on and how he wanted to resolve the problem. 5 days later after a second email I got a voice mail stating that this was my problem and that he had no responsibility to it. I sent another email to Mr. Pielick asking him how he wasn't responsible for the error? He then left me another vm stating that he only charged me for one of the returns and had included a letter for no charge as well (which I have no idea what letter he was talking about) and that the services he gave me were more than the late penalty was so we would just call it even and that the conversation was over. This to me was basically admitting to his error. (I have these voice mails saved) This man cost me 164 dollars because of his mistake and then he failed to stand behind his work or lack of work. Richard Pielick is very unprofessional and I would highly recommend using another tax person and company.
