I wish the communication from Ms. Mitchell was better. She couldn't remember how much she wanted to charge me. After she filed my return she never asked where I wanted my direct deposit sent and had my return routed to an account I no longer use. She updated my bank info and confirmed that everything was good to go with my filing. Over 3 weeks passed and still no return. I asked for an update and she told me she was at work and told me to check on irs.gov. I explained that I have tried multiple times and could not pull up my return. She then checked for me and she discovered that it was rejected and I needed to send in a copy of my ID. When would I have been notified if I had not asked? I asked if the IRS sent an alert notifying that the return was rejected and I received no response. I have no plans on ever using her again. Her prices are a bit too high for this poor level of service. I will be looking for a new preparer for next year.
